Surrounded by greenery just a short distance from Bologna’s city centre, Villa Bella Antiaging Care Group has established itself as a centre of excellence at the forefront of anti-ageing medicine and integrated prevention.
It is a destination for those seeking to invest in their wellbeing and long-term health, bringing together healthcare, science and beauty within a single, harmonious journey.
At its helm is Dr Francesca Negosanti, Medical Director of Villa Bella, who also holds leading roles in the field of laser dermatology.
A prominent figure in aesthetic and regenerative medicine, Dr Negosanti combines scientific rigour, clinical expertise and a remarkable capacity for empathy.
She works alongside a multidisciplinary team of highly qualified medical professionals who collaborate closely to develop personalised care plans for each patient.
The treatments offered are informed by scientific evidence and ongoing professional development, with particular attention to technological advances in anti-ageing medicine and wellbeing.
Yet Villa Bella is far more than an outpatient medical centre.
It is a distinctive, welcoming and private setting, where tranquillity and attention to detail create an environment dedicated to relaxation, physical wellbeing and aesthetics.
Its refined, understated atmosphere is complemented by a warm yet professional welcome, helping guests feel comfortable and at ease.
Villa Bella embraces an innovative concept of wellbeing, approaching health as a balance between body, mind and lifestyle.
Every journey is individually designed following a comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment.
We met Dr Negosanti, known for her ethical and measured approach to aesthetic medicine, focused on enhancing and preserving natural beauty, to discover the latest developments at Villa Bella.
1. Dr Negosanti, Villa Bella continues to grow and evolve, introducing new services and innovations. Is your aim to provide patients with an increasingly comprehensive range of care?
Absolutely. We’re never standing still.
Villa Bella is constantly evolving, with the aim of offering the most appropriate and up-to-date solutions for each individual.
Our goal is to develop a truly personalised approach that supports both physical and mental wellbeing.
Prevention, healthcare, beauty and wellbeing all come together around one guiding philosophy: ageing while staying young.
2. You recently introduced the new Oral Care Division. Was it developed to strengthen the connection between aesthetics and oral health?
Oral health, aesthetics and wellbeing were the missing pieces in our overall approach, and they are now an integral part of Villa Bella’s services.
We have dedicated an entire wing of the villa to dentistry, equipped with advanced technologies and supported by an outstanding professional team.
This allows us to address a comprehensive range of dental needs, including oral surgery and implant dentistry, restorative dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, the management of snoring and sleep apnoea, oral medicine and smile aesthetics.
3. Villa Bella brings together wellbeing and beauty in a single setting. Could you briefly explain the different areas in which you operate?
Villa Bella is an advanced multidisciplinary medical centre where healthcare professionals work in close collaboration, maintaining an ongoing dialogue to develop highly personalised programmes for everyone who comes to us.
Our approach is based on what we call the Five As of Wellbeing.
Personalised Nutrition
Our team of nutrition professionals develops individualised nutritional plans.
We are what we eat, and the way we nourish our bodies and approach supplementation is one of the most important starting points for maintaining good health.
Medically Supervised Physical Activity
When appropriately prescribed and supervised, physical activity can play an important therapeutic role.
Anti-Ageing Therapy
This encompasses diagnostic investigations, dermatology and aesthetic medicine, laser therapy, ozone therapy, intravenous booster treatments, colon hydrotherapy, prevention and rejuvenation protocols, and enhancement medicine.
These services are developed through the expertise of our specialists in gynaecology, urology and endocrinology, alongside treatments dedicated to relaxation, beauty and wellbeing within our aesthetic centre.
Stress Management
All our efforts can be undermined if we fail to address stress effectively.
At Villa Bella, we help each individual identify the most appropriate approach, drawing on services such as psychotherapy, acupuncture, mindfulness meditation, Qigong, Shiatsu and yoga.
4. Alongside these services, how important is physiotherapy within your approach?
Our physiotherapy and rehabilitation gym is located on the top floor of Villa Bella, in a truly distinctive setting with breathtaking views.
It combines advanced technologies with qualified professionals experienced in managing a wide range of post-traumatic and post-operative rehabilitation needs.
Our services also include pelvic floor physiotherapy, scar management, postural programmes, massage therapy, osteopathy and Pilates.
In addition, the gym offers personalised training, strength and conditioning, and fitness programmes, all under the ongoing supervision of our team.
Activities can take place indoors or outdoors in the park, allowing people to exercise while enjoying direct contact with nature.
5. Beyond the medical aspects of treatment, do you also adopt a holistic approach to functional recovery and aesthetic wellbeing?
I believe integrated medicine represents the future of healthcare.
For this reason, within every therapeutic journey, we aim to combine medical knowledge and scientific evidence with functional medicine and holistic disciplines.
Our intention is to ensure that each therapeutic intervention is understood, accepted and experienced positively by the individual.
Each of us has an important role to play in looking after our own health.
Developing awareness, confidence and a sense of personal responsibility is the first step towards achieving overall wellbeing.
6. Villa Bella also hosts professional education and training events for medical practitioners. Could you tell us more about these initiatives?
Medical and scientific education has always been an important part of my professional work.
Villa Bella reflects this commitment by organising and hosting a range of accredited Continuing Medical Education (ECM) events every year for doctors and other healthcare professionals.
In September, we will launch the third edition of our Dental Dermatology School, a theoretical and practical training programme designed to introduce dental professionals to techniques in facial and smile aesthetics.
Villa Bella also hosts the practical training component of the University of Bologna’s second-level Master’s programme in Lasers, Light-Based Technologies and Associated Techniques in Dermatology and Aesthetic Dermatology.
Between June and September, we also have several conferences planned, covering topics such as hormonal contraception, cystitis, incontinence, pelvic pain, erectile dysfunction, scar management and acne.
Each event is developed with a comprehensive, multidisciplinary perspective.
7. The beauty and elegance of Villa Bella make it an ideal venue for cultural events, art exhibitions and professional gatherings. Are there any new initiatives or upcoming events you would like to share?
Absolutely!
Villa Bella also hosts cultural, educational, recreational and artistic events.
From June onwards, we will be introducing our Wednesday Evenings Under the Stars, a series of informal gatherings during which the Villa Bella team will be available to answer patients’ questions on a variety of topics.
These will include getting back into shape ahead of summer, facial rejuvenation, oral health and aesthetics, and anti-ageing therapies.
On 28 June, we are planning a solo exhibition by artist Marco Burzi, while towards the end of summer we will host the fourth sculpture exhibition by Pierluigi Funes.
At Villa Bella, we strive to celebrate beauty in all its forms.
