LONGEVITY THERAPY
AND AESTHETIC DERMATOLOGY
Longevity Therapy is a medical and scientific approach aimed at extending the years spent in good health, rather than simply increasing lifespan.
It brings together preventive medicine, functional medicine and ageing research to improve long-term quality of life.
Personalised nutrition, medically supervised physical activity, a comprehensive range of internal medicine investigations, including assessments relating to sexual wellbeing, and personalised stress management strategies all form part of this multifaceted approach to maintaining long-term psychophysical health.
Comprehensive nutritional assessments, fitness and wellbeing programmes, condition-specific dietary plans, consultations in physical and rehabilitation medicine and sports medicine, targeted fitness programmes, psychodynamic therapy journeys and guided meditation are just some of the elements that may be incorporated into a personalised Longevity Therapy programme.
Further assessments may include blood tests, ultrasound examinations and specialist consultations in endocrinology, internal medicine, gynaecology, urology and paediatrics.
Aesthetic dermatology consultations are also of particular importance within our approach.
Aesthetic Dermatology is a branch of dermatology focused on improving the appearance of the skin and superficial tissues, as well as addressing specific aesthetic concerns through non-surgical or minimally invasive treatments.
Aesthetic dermatology treatments are incorporated into personalised journeys, with particular attention to safety, proportion and aesthetic harmony.
Specialised laser technologies, targeted topical and injectable therapies, consultations for visible capillaries and cellulite, non-surgical rhinoplasty with fillers, and other specialist consultations, including aesthetic assessments, form the core of our approach to aesthetic dermatology in support of Longevity Therapy.
One of the more contemporary medical therapies we incorporate into our approach to Longevity Therapy is ozone therapy. Given its proposed benefits in supporting a conscious and sustainable long-term journey, we would like to explore its properties and how it works in greater detail.
WHAT IS OZONE THERAPY?
Ozone therapy is presented as one of the principal medical practices used in Longevity Therapy.
The original text describes ozone therapy as free from side effects and generally without contraindications or allergic reactions.
Ozone (O₃) is a gas with a distinctive garlic-like odour, composed of molecules containing three oxygen atoms. Ozone is one of the most powerful naturally occurring sterilising agents. It acts against bacteria, viruses and fungi and is described as having a range of therapeutic effects.
Ozone therapy is used for its proposed wound-healing, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, immune-stimulating, analgesic and vascular effects across a variety of medical conditions.
Ozone Therapy: Methods of Administration
Ozone Therapy: Methods of Administration
Topical Application and Fumigation
Using specialised bags filled with an ozone-rich gas mixture.
Systemic Ozone Therapy — Major Autohaemotherapy
A procedure involving the collection of the patient’s blood, its exposure to an ozone-oxygen mixture and subsequent reinfusion.
Minor Autohaemotherapy
Intramuscular injection of a small quantity of the patient’s own blood following exposure to ozone.
Injection
Subcutaneous or intra-articular administration of a small quantity of gas.
Insufflation
An ozone-rich gas mixture is introduced into the patient’s intestine through a small catheter.
